Philippa Musoke

Associate Prof. Philippa Musoke is a board certified Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialist who has been working in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, Makerere University and conducting research with the Makerere University-Johns Hopkins University research collaboration for the last 17 years. She has conducted multiple perinatal HIV prevention clinical trials including the including HIVNET012, single dose nevirapine (NVP) for prevention of mother to child HIV transmission (PMTCT), SWEN and HPTN 046, extending NVP dosing to prevent breast milk transmission. Juliet Kiguli

Dr. Juliet Kiguli (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer, in the Department of Community Health and Behavioural Sciences at the School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. She is an ethnographic scientist and gender analyst holding a Ph.D in Anthropology from the University of Cologne, Germany (2001). In addition, she holds an MA in Development Studies, Institute of Social Studies, The Hague (1994), a post graduate diploma in Education-PGDE (1992) and a BA (Hons) degree, Makerere University (1991). Rose Chalo Nabirye

Rose Chalo Nabirye, PhD, MPH, ADHSM, RN/M is a Lecturer and Chair of the Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University Kampala. Rose got her PhD (Nursing- Promoting, Protecting and Restoring Health) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) USA, in May 2010 and earned her MPH from Makerere University in 1999. She actively participated in development of the curriculum for Master of Nursing (Midwifery and WomenÔÇÖs Health) program which started running in 2011/2012 academic year. Rhoda Wanyenze

Dr. Rhoda Wanyenze, MBChB, MPH, PhD, is a Professor and Dean of Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH). She has vast experience in infectious diseases research, capacity building and program management, especially in HIV and TB and has also conducted several studies in maternal and child health. Prior to joining MakSPH, Dr. Wanyenze was the Program Manager for the Makerere University Joint AIDS Program. Read more about Rhoda Wanyenze

Michael Oryema-Lalobo

Michael Oryema-Lalobo is a senior member of the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health, with long teaching experience in vector-borne disease control and medical parasitology. He is a holder of a bachelorÔÇÖs degree in biological science of Makerere University and a Master of Science in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology and Public Health in the University of Miami, Florida.
