Richard Odoi Adome

Dr. Richard Odoi Adome, a Professor of Pharmacy is the immediate past and pioneer Dean of School of Health Sciences from 2008 to Nov 2010, a position he took up after serving as Head of Pharmacy Makerere University Medical School for over 15 years. He was founder Head of the program of Pharmacy, which began in 1988. Professor Odoi has devoted many years of his professional life to the advancement of pharmacy education, research and capacity development. Ponsiano Ocama

Ponsiano Ocama is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University-Kampala. He trained as a Medical Doctor (MBChB) from Makerere University, Uganda in 1994. He later did his Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine at Makerere University in 2001. He then completed his PhD training at the University of Antwerp, Belgium in 2011. He is actively involved in research and his main research focus is on interaction of viral hepatitis and HIV and consequences of (co)-infections. Read more about Ponsiano Ocama

Paul Bangirana

Paul Bangirana is Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry and a part time lecturer in the School of Psychology Makerere University. He graduated with a BSc majoring in Psychology from Makerere University in 2000, an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Makerere University in 2003 and joint PhD in Neuropsychology between Makerere University and Karolinska Institutet in 2011. He has been involved in research since 2003 looking at the neurocognitive effects of HIV/AIDS infection and cerebral malaria in Ugandan children. Read more about Paul Bangirana

Juliet Ndimwibo Babirye

Dr. Juliet Ndimwibo Babirye MD, MPH is a Lecturer in infectious disease (HIV, Malaria) and non-communicable disease control; which she has done for the last 11 years. She obtained her medical degrees from Makerere University in 1996 and her Master of Public Health by Research in 2005 from University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia. Juliet was a fellow at the Center for AIDS Reasearch at Case Western Reserve University in 2002. She has leadership, clinical and research experience. Nankabirwa Joaniter

Dr. Nankabirwa Joaniter (MBChB, MSC CEB) is an assistant lecturer in the Department of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology Unit), Makerere University College of Health Sciences. Joaniter has an MBChB degree and an MSC in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Makerere University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Epidemiology at the same institution. She is an infectious disease Epidemiologist with special interests in malaria and school health. Read more about Nankabirwa Joaniter
