Rose Alenyo

Dr. Rose Alenyo is a lecturer at the College of Health Sciences Makerere University and Chair of Training Division Plastic and Burns Surgery. Rose’s interests are Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery, Emergency Burns and Reconstruction, Cosmetic and Breast Reconstruction Surgery. She has devoted more than 18 years in cleft lip and palate care in the country and also training cleft surgeons. She has worked with smile train on cleft lip and palate management for 10 years, is an International Scholar nominee 2 years in a row 2019 and 2020 eventually achieved the 2020 award. Sabrina Bakeera-Kitaka

Dr. Sabrina Bakeera-Kitaka is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Paediatrics and Child Health at Makerere University. She is a Paediatrics Infectious Diseases Specialist as well as an Adolescent Medicine Practitioner. She has championed several healthcare interventions with a specific focus in paediatrics and adolescent health. She leads the training and advocacy efforts for Adolescent Health Care at Makerere University. Her research interests are in Infectious Diseases, Adolescent Medicine and Immunization Science where she has over 30 peer-reviewed publications. Read more about Sabrina Bakeera-Kitaka

Roy Mubuuke Gonzaga

Dr. Roy Mubuuke Gonzaga (MSc, MHPE, PhD, Fellow-Bioethics, FAIMER Fellow) is a Lecturer in the Department of Radiology, School of Medicine, Makerere University College of Health Sciences. Dr. Mubuuke specializes in breast imaging with additional specialist training in medical education. Dr. Mubuuke is also a Fogarty Fellow of Bioethics which he obtained from Johns Hopkins University as well as a FAIMER Fellow in medical education. Moses Galukande

Moses Galukande is a professor of surgery and the chair of the Department of Surgery in the School of Medicine at the College of Health Sciences, Makerere University, Uganda. His work has a strong focus on breast cancer, including risk factors, mutation patterns, overexpression of heat shock proteins, and triple-negative breast cancer Dr Galukande is an advocate for strengthening health-care systems and improving the delivery of health services, to better achieve public health results. Okwi Andrew Livex

Associate Prof. Okwi has interest in collaborative research for introduction of cervical cancer and sickle cell disease screening programmes at health centres in Uganda including the study of the genetics and molecular mechanisms associated with sickle cell anaemia. He is equally interested in genetic and viral factors which influence cell cycle regulation and apoptosis in tumours. Read more about Okwi Andrew Livex
