Makerere University College of Health Sciences, under the Reducing the Impact of Rheumatic Heart Disease Across the Life Span: The IMPACT Program (Grant No. D43TW012255), is pleased to announce a call for applications for Masters Research Fellowships for 2026

Who is eligible?
Masters students from Makerere University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, and Gulu University enrolled in Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery, Nursing, Public Health, Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or other Biomedical/Health-related fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate strong interest in RHD research and commitment to developing a career in cardiovascular medicine and research.

Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Application requirements (submitted as one PDF):

• Cover letter (1 page)

• CV (maximum 3 pages)

• Personal statement (maximum 1 page)

• Research concept (maximum 2 pages)

• Two recommendation letters (sent separately by referees)
