Offering a training in Qualitative Research Methods, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Bioethics, Systematic Reviews, Gerontology, Epidemiology* and Biostatistics*.
Introduction: The Department of Psychiatry at Makerere University and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health are collaborating to offer a training on research methods and analysis across a variety of disciplines. This will be the second year this workshop is being conducted in response to the demand for research and analysis skills among graduate students and other researchers. An additional primary goal of this training is to promote global collaboration. Courses in the training were designed and will be led by course conveners from Makerere University as well as the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Specific courses offered:
Dates – Part I: May 20-31, 2019 - Qualitative Research Methods; Systematic Reviews; Gerontology; Child and Adolescent Mental Health; Bioethics.
Dates - Part II: Tentatively scheduled for July 2019 - Biostatistics and R Programming; Epidemiologic research methods and concepts using a virtual technology approach.

Course acceptance: Space is limited and we cannot guarantee that you will be accepted to each course you sign up for. Following registration, you will receive an email at least five days prior to the workshop noting whether or not you have been accepted.
