Every Newborn Action Plan Launched in Uganda | MNH2015 Day 1 Conference Bulletin

Every Newborn: an action plan to end preventable deaths is a global roadmap to save 3 million lives of newborns, women and stillbirths each year by improving quality care at the time of birth, and support for small and sick babies. This was at the start of the ongoing maternal and newborn health conference at the Serena Hotel, Kampala, Uganda, organised by the Makerere University School of Public Health and partners. Representing Primary Health Care State Minister [Sarah Opendi], the State Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology Prof. Tokodri Togboa (3rd R-L) joined Prof. Joy Lawn of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (4th R-L)), Dr Jane Aceng, the director general of health services (2ND R-L), and Save the Children Country Representative Ms Barbara Barroughs (Right) and others to jointly launch the plan.
