Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Senior Administrator to provide administrative support to the Office of the Principal. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating administrative operations, managing logistics, supporting executive leadership, and ensuring efficient service delivery across the College.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative and logistical support to the Office of the Principal.
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating College Central Management Team (CMT) meetings, official events, and related activities.
- Maintaining electronic and physical fleet management records in liaison with the University Transport Officer.
- Coordinating repairs and maintenance of office equipment and College vehicles.
- Preparing reports, minutes, correspondence, memos, and other official documents.
- Managing requisitions and ensuring accountability for financial and other resources under their care.
- Supervising staff and promoting a productive and harmonious working environment.
- Supporting project management initiatives.
- Identifying administrative risks, implementing mitigation measures, and supporting audit processes and compliance activities.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the Principal or supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- An Honours Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised university.
- A Master's Degree in Public Administration, Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience
Applicants must have:
- At least three (3) years of relevant administrative experience in a reputable institution.
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders and collaborators.
- Experience supporting C-suite executives, Directors, or Board-level leadership will be an added advantage.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
